i really really love (extended?) family gatherings, on my mum's side that is(:
yesterday was my oldest auntie's 40th wedding anniversary!
We had dinner in a private room of The Pines( or something like that) at Laguna.
In between meals we had yam-sengs, and slideshows of Hwang Family, and then the wholeee other families. pictures of them from young till now.
during the slideshows we all really couldnt bear to stop laughing(:
EVERYONE and especially my 3rd uncle were all being REALLY high.
On the slides, everyone were argueing who was who, and those who was in were all going
"THATS ME!!" or "ME! ME! ME!" and wave their hands fractically to make sure they were known it was HIM/HER that was part of the picture(:
And something SUPER FUNNY that i cant forget, is when my youngest auntie went:" who is that ahh!" to the preeeetty person in the picture ( it was an old one, black and white yaoo!)
Then my eldest auntie went:" SI WA LAHHH! (Thats me lahhh!)"
my sister and i laughed crazily when my eldest auntie said that, with much.. disturbance over the fact she couldnt be recognized. xDD
During the yam-seng, my grand-uncle (who is lee kuan yew's age, and in which i do not know how old lee kuan yew is..) said we had to yam-seng 3 times.
on the third, he wanted to shout the standard phrase: YAAAAAAM-SEEEENGG, into the mic.
But somehow i think he thought the mic was beer so he lifted the mic, and maybe.. thought he was speaking into it? HAHA.
Then my uncle tried to put the mic to where he was suppsosed to speak into, but to no avail, cause my granduncle lited the mic up again(:
Nearing the end of the dinner, my little nephews and neices were all crying away, and feigning angriness cause all the older people were bullying them.
For example, bursting their balloons, stealing their balloons, scolding them(?)
NYEHHEHH. All these little things that happen contribute to one bigggg family whom we love(:
